Sunset Coast International offers General English courses from Beginner to Advanced Levels. We use a communicative approach which gives students an opportunity to mix with other students and their teachers to improve their English.

All our teachers are qualified and have many years’ experience both locally and internationally.

Full-time study: (working holiday, tourist and student visas)

20 or 25 hour full-time – 3 hours each morning, Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 12:30pm, and 2 hours each afternoon, 1:30pm, including our Friday Activity to one of the interesting places shown on our activity calendar for 25 hour students. 20 hour full-time students attend Monday to Thursday and can join the excellent Friday activity program for a small fee.

Part-time study: (working holiday and tourist and student visas)

15 hour – 3 hours each morning Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 12:”30pm. Join our General English classes focusing on speaking, listening, grammar, reading and writing in an exciting environment with excellent teachers and fun activities.

Or

10 hours – every afternoon 1:30pm – 3:30pm including our Friday activity program. Conversation classes and some exam classes are run every afternoon from Monday to Thursday. You can choose what is best suited to your individual needs.

Or

8 hours – four afternoon each week from 1:30 – 3:30pm. Conversation and exam classes are available.  

Sunset Coast international also offers a range of exam-courses including PET, FCE, CAE and IELTS. These are for students who want to gain a recognised certificate in English for work, future study, migration, or simply to study more intensively.

Sunset Coast International has rewarding and exciting time tale, designed to help students enjoy learning English. Each student joins a program suited to their level and needs.

Our students also have a choice of conversation or exam classes in the afternoon. On Friday afternoons, join us in a fun activity, from a cruse on the Swan River to ten-pin bowling.

Small classes

Our classes have an average of 12 students who have been placed after testing an orientation on their first day at Sunset Coast International. In the general English program, we test you every eight weeks to check your progress. As you improve you can move up a level.

Cambridge Exam Courses

Sunset Coast international offers a series of exam courses accredited by Cambridge University in England (the TESOL Centre for English language instruction). These courses include PET, FCE and CAE.

PET (Preliminary English Test)

This is a pre-intermediate level exam class, which provides a great way for students to study English intensively and apply their new knowledge. Regular progress tests are conducted. Involving 8-10 weeks’ part-time study.

FCE (First Certificate of English)

This course is ideal for students who need to be able to communicate in English in many different situations. Students wishing to join the course will be given either an FCE or CAE entry test to ensure they are at the level to join the program.

For students who don’t pass the entry test, we usually suggest a program of General English with us before joining a Cambridge program.

CAE (Cambridge Advanced Certificate of English)

Many students joining this program have already completed the FCE and have decided to continue with a higher level of study. CAE is particularly useful for students who intend to use their English for work or tertiary study,
Both FCE and CAE are available in 10 and 12-week programs.

Sunset Coast International offers more than just English lessons. Every Friday afternoon, we organise a fun activity which is available to all our students, from a game of snooker to whale-watching to rock-climbing . Within walking distance of the school, there is tuition available for surfing, diving, windsurfing and kite-surfing, tuition is provided is provided (wetsuits, rash-vests, boots, boards, kites and sun-cream).
