• International House Brisbane: IHB is a dynamic and colourful institution which delivers a wide range of English language courses to international students.
• International House Cairns: It all started with us! International House Queensland in Cairns was the first IH in Australia. The College has a long established reputation in providing the highest quality of courses in a warm and familiar atmosphere. The school opened in 1989 followed by our partner school in Brisbane in 2002.

Study Options / Courses

• FULL-TIME INTENSIVE GENERAL ENGLISH: Courses include Elementary, Pre-Intermediate, Intermediate A, Intermediate B, Upper-Intermediate and Advanced.
• PART-TIME GENERAL ENGLISH: Beginner to Advanced Levels    
• CAMBRIDGE EXAMINATION PREPARATION: First Certificate in English (FCE), Certificate of Advanced English (CAE) and Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE)  
• IELTS EXAM PREPARATION: Courses to prepare for these exams  
• SECONDARY SCHOOL PREPARATION: A special program for the student planning to go to High School in Australia  
• INTUITION HOMESTUDY: Live with your teacher in Homestay while you study in one to one or one to two lessons   
• TEACHER TRAINING (CELTA): Specialist teacher training courses including the CELTA (Certificate of English Language Teaching to Adults) and teacher training courses specifically designed for native speakers   
• 2-4 WEEK INTENSIVE ENGLISH: These intensive courses take you through a comprehensive course of grammar in four weeks. 25 hours per week full-time.
• 2-4 WEEK PART-TIME ENGLISH: These intensive courses take you through a comprehensive course of grammar in four weeks. 15 hours per week part-time.
• CHRISTMAS COURSES: A general English and activity program over the Christmas and New Year period    
• ENGLISH & DIVING: Combine a General English Course with a PADI Certificate (Open Water Dive Certificate).  
• THE TRAVELLING CLASSROOM: This exciting supplementary course can be added to the end of any normal full-time or part-time English course.   
• ENGLISH & CONSERVATION VOLUNTEER: Experience the unique heritage and wildlife of Australia by volunteering for a Conservation Programme.   
• ENGLISH & PROFESSIONAL INTERNSHIP: Students can study English for any length of time and then undertake a professional Internship with an Australian company.   
• STUDY TOURS: Available throughout the year for groups to combine English study with sightseeing or other interests.   
• YOUNG LEARNERS' PROGRAM: A programme specifically designed to suit the younger learners aged 8 - 15yrs.
